Hi my name is Veronica O'Donnell
I started my career with NRCS as a STEP employee in 1995 in my home county in Texas. I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to broaden my skills and knowledge in South Dakota, Oklahoma and Texas. I currently serve as a Resource Team Leader for a 6 county team in South Central Texas between Houston and Austin.
Working in the Plains states has afforded me a wealth of knowledge of both people and natural resources that I can use in this position. I am very comfortable doing outreach, meeting new people, working in teams and handling complex projects.
I have also had the opportunity to complete several details, the latest being Acting Assistant State Conservation for Field Operations. I have also been an instructor with Conservation Planning Boot Camp and now Civil Rights Compliance in Program Delivery.
In 2021, I completed the Texas Leadership Development Program which has helped me in my personal and professional life.
I participated in a WiN speed mentoring event in 2018 and got to witness first hand how motivated WiN is to provide excellent opportunities for employee development, enrichment and morale. The energy and team work of this organization is contagious and I want to be a part of that.
