Chrisine Hall
Prior to coming to NRCS in 1995, I worked seasonal positions in California for both California State Parks and US Forest Service. After receiving my B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University, I began my NRCS career began in New Jersey as an AmeriCorps member implementing Forest Stewardship demonstration projects. My time with NRCS has spanned one-on-one work with farmers as a Soil Conservationist, areawide watershed planning as a RC&D Coordinator, statewide program management on the programs staff and planning and technical responsibilities as State Resource Conservationist. In 2020 I was thrilled to be selected to work in the Office of the Chief as the first National Innovation Leader for NRCS.
In my current role I work with agency leaders and staff across the nation to develop and implement innovations that improve both the agency’s ability to deliver the conservation mission and improve the experience for the customers we serve. I have a passion for partnerships, collaboration, conservation and brining talented people together to solve challenges facing our agency and customers.
In addition to working for NRCS I have taught as an adjunct professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology, instructing an undergraduate honors Environmental Policy course. I also serve as a member of the Land Acquisition and Stewardship Committee for my local land trust. I have been published in three peer reviewed journals for my collaborative work on conservation buffers and targeting conservation in agricultural watersheds.
Several years ago, I attended my first WiN event. After experiencing the top-notch programing and supportive environment of the WiN community, I was hooked and immediately signed up as a lifetime member. I am proud to be part of the WiN community and would be honored to serve as your Vice President.
